Ironside Farrar has been a pioneer of place-making supporting the delivery of urban renewal, regeneration and destination development projects, working with communities to renew, refresh and revitalise our towns and cities.

Extensive strategic studies across Scotland and Northern England have developed a clear sense of what works, and the core routes to success. Major projects like the HELIX-Kelpies, Glasgow Avenues, Greenock Central, Irvine Harbourside have all unlocked funds for strategic change.

Vision supported by clear deliverability has created robust solutions aligning place-based visioning with funding and real-world delivery. Consultation and engagement have been at the heart of projects through all stages from Feasibility Studies (Destination Development /Local Projects), Grant Award Applications and Project Design.

Liveable Places meeting local needs and supporting local communities. Our work on liveable neighbourhoods, Place Standard 2, area regeneration plans all seek to promote liveability building on local services and local facilities.
